Screen printing delivers bold, vibrant results that stand out. It's the technique of choice for high-impact graphics, team kits, event clothing, and large runs, producing prints that are as durable as they are eye-catching.
The Screen Printing Process
Screen printing has been the backbone of the custom clothing industry for decades. Here's how our process works and why it remains the best choice for bold, impactful designs.
We start by separating your design into individual colours, each colour in your design requires its own screen. Our team uses photographic film and UV light to expose your design onto a mesh screen coated with light-sensitive emulsion. This creates a stencil through which ink is pressed onto the garment. The result is a sharp, precise print with exceptional colour accuracy.
Screen printing is exceptionally fast for larger runs. Once the screens are made, we can print hundreds of identical garments per hour with complete consistency. Every item comes out exactly the same, perfect registration, identical colours, consistent quality from the first garment to the last. It's why screen printing remains the preferred choice for large orders, events, and uniform programmes.
Screen printing uses plastisol or water-based inks pressed directly into the fabric, not sat on top of it. This creates a bond with the fibre that resists cracking, peeling, and fading. With proper care, a screen-printed garment will retain its vibrancy for years. Water-based inks are available for a softer, more breathable feel- ideal for fashion-forward designs and premium garment brands.
Most screen printing orders are produced and dispatched within 7–10 working days from artwork approval. For larger runs or multi-location orders, please contact us to discuss timelines. Free UK delivery is included on all orders over £99.
